Virtual Desktop Market is Accelerating

It is estimated that approximately 15% of current enterprise PCs will be migrated to Hosted Virtual Desktops (HVD) by 2014. That percentage equates to about 66 million tracked units. US based enterprise PCs will reach double that of the global average – 18 plus million units. According to Gartner Group, the worldwide Virtual Desktop market is accelerating and changing the traditional client computing model.

The number of tablet computer units sold forecast for continued growth, the iPad is ready for the workplace. These new architectures are putting pressure on PC manufacturers like HP, Dell, and Lenovo to adapt to new demands and buying trends. Consumer and business demand for alternatives that are less expensive and more efficient are prefect for Cloud Computing and other hosted applications and services. IT Managed Services providers like Kaseya are adding mobile and tablet computer agents to their Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform.
